This set of two piers will complement the McKenzie Bookcase beds beautifully.

Designed to use instead of nightstands, these piers are the same depth as the Bookcase headboards, giving you full access to all of the drawers around the bed.

Made from high quality, sustainable American alder wood, these piers are durable enough to last a lifetime.

Classic craftsmanship features such as English dovetail drawer construction and a fitted back provide structural stability, while the adjustable shelf allows for creativity in display and look.

The piers come fully assembled and are currently available factory finished in three finishes: Glazed Antique Cherry, Fieldstone, and Caffe.

NEW FOR 2024: Caffe finish will eventually be discontinued. NEW Java and Pecan finishes are now available.

The 1374 piers are too large for both UPS and FedEx and are much safer shipping on a pallet via freight carrier.

Wood Species

Alder is a species native to the Pacific Northwest. It grows in an approximate 125 mile-wide strip along the West Coast that stretches from Alaska to Northern California. The largest concentration of Alder stands just north of Portland, Oregon.

Alder regenerates naturally and prolifically and flourishes in areas where other species might not survive. Its unique nitrogen-fixing properties enrich root systems, add nutrients to the soil and assist neighboring plants to establish and thrive. Also, since Alder develops so quickly, it helps prevent soil erosion and provides protection to more delicate and slow-growing species such as Douglas Fir, Cedar and Hemlock
