About the 2441DUET Addison 4-Drawer Desk:

The Addison Desk combines a unique and modern floating top with stylish splayed legs. The spacious surface offers plenty of space for all of your work or study needs.  It includes one center drawer, one legal/letter file drawer, and two supply drawers.  It features a finished back, full extension glides, and English dovetail drawer construction.  It also includes adjustable levelers for your convenience.  The multi-step finish resists most liquids and heat for up to 24 hours.  This desk is the perfect addition to your home office space.

Wood Species

Alder is a species native to the Pacific Northwest. It grows in an approximate 125 mile-wide strip along the West Coast that stretches from Alaska to Northern California. The largest concentration of Alder stands just north of Portland, Oregon.

Alder regenerates naturally and prolifically and flourishes in areas where other species might not survive. Its unique nitrogen-fixing properties enrich root systems, add nutrients to the soil and assist neighboring plants to establish and thrive. Also, since Alder develops so quickly, it helps prevent soil erosion and provides protection to more delicate and slow-growing species such as Douglas Fir, Cedar and Hemlock.
