This chest offers clean lines with exquisite detail.  It is the only collection that offers a two-tone finish in addition to all of the standard custom options.  Crafted from high-quality American Alder wood, it also ensures a lifetime of strength and durability.  Enjoy quality furniture from Archbold, where all pieces are finished by Amish craftsmen and are also proudly made in the USA.

About the Portland 3 Drawer Chest (51331):

The Portland 3 Drawer Chest offers a classic design combined with subtle details.  The roomy drawers provide ample, concealed storage and sit on full-extension rolling glides.  In addition, the drawer boxes features English Dovetail joints on both the front and back. Use this chest in a small bedroom to maximize concealed storage. This piece is available unfinished or in your choice of 14 beautiful stains, 12 matte paint options, 1 two-tone option, and 1 gloss paint option. It also includes your choice of seven different knob designs.  Combine this beautiful chest with any of the other pieces in the Portland Collection to create a cohesive look.  This piece is an updated model in order to meet  ASTM anti-tipping standards. Other two-tone combinations are available by special order only.  Please contact customer service to inquire about all of the two-tone options.

Alder Facts: 

Alder is a relatively soft, medium-density hardwood that is easy to work with and has good finishing properties. A relative of birch, the wood features a fairly straight-grain with a uniform texture. It can be sanded, painted, or stained and dries easily.  When stained, it blends well with walnut or cherry.  It is them most abundant hardwood in the Pacific Northwest.
