About the Alder Coffee Table with Shelf (6019):

The Alder Coffee Table features a solid plank top, providing extra strength and stability. There are two English dovetail utility drawers with full-extension rolling glides. In addition, the bottom shelf provides a place for additional storage or an area to display your favorite pieces. This coffee table is available unfinished or finished in your choice of 14 beautiful stains, 12 matte paint options, and 1 gloss paint option. It also includes your choice of 7 different knobs. This coffee table is narrow enough to use in a smaller living room, apartment, or loft. It pairs well with any of the pieces in the Alder Shaker Collection.

Built in the USA and Amish finished.

Alder is a relatively soft, medium-density hardwood that is easy to work with and has good finishing properties. A relative of birch, the wood features a fairly straight-grain with a uniform texture. It can be sanded, painted, or stained and dries easily. When stained, it blends well with walnut or cherry. It is them most abundant hardwood in the Pacific Northwest.
