This dresser also includes your choice of Matte Black, Pewter, or Copper handles.  Furthermore, this model has been updated to meet  ASTM anti-tipping standards. Wood Species

Alder is a relatively soft, medium-density hardwood that is easy to work with and has good finishing properties. A relative of birch, the wood features a fairly straight-grain with a uniform texture. It can be sanded, painted, or stained and dries easily.  When stained, it blends well with walnut or cherry.  It is them most abundant hardwood in the Pacific Northwest.
