Use the bottom shelf for additional storage or display. This table is available unfinished or finished in your choice of 14 beautiful stains, 12 matte paint options, and 1 gloss paint option. It also includes your choice of 7 different knobs. Alder Facts: 

Alder is a relatively soft, medium-density hardwood that is easy to work with and has good finishing properties. A relative of birch, the wood features a fairly straight-grain with a uniform texture. It can be sanded, painted, or stained and dries easily.  When stained, it blends well with walnut or cherry.  It is them most abundant hardwood in the Pacific Northwest.
