This three-piece, Alder Sectional Desk is part of the Modular Home Office Collection. The L-shaped design of this desk allows you to create a corner desk or a floating desk in your home office space. About the 6505/6511/6501 Alder Sectional Desk with Pedestal:

This desk includes the 6505 Alder Writing Desk, the 6511 Universal Pedestal, and the 6501 Universal Return. The writing desk features a single, large drawer with a solid wood bottom. It also offers a drop down front so you can use it for a keyboard pullout.  The pedestal includes spacious open shelves and one English dovetail drawer.  The open shelves work well for displaying photos, binders, or books while the roomy drawers are perfect for storing miscellaneous items. All drawers ride on full-extension rolling glides.  This desk ships unfinished or finished in your choice of 14 beautiful stains, 12 matte paint options, and 1 gloss paint option. It also includes your choice of a variety of knobs.  All of the pieces in this set are available for separate purchase. 

Built in the USA and Amish finished.

Wood Species

Alder Facts: 

Alder is a relatively soft, medium-density hardwood that is easy to work with and has good finishing properties. A relative of birch, the wood features a fairly straight-grain with a uniform texture. It can be sanded, painted, or stained and dries easily.  When stained, it blends well with walnut or cherry.  It is them most abundant hardwood in the Pacific Northwest.
