About the Alder Twin Shaker Low 3 Drawer Chest Bed:

This Low Chest Bed provides a unique and stylish way to maximize storage in a smaller bedroom. It features three drawers on one side and a flat panel with no drawers on the other side. This configuration allows you to place the bed against one wall in your bedroom. All drawers open and close on full extension ball bearing glides and are dovetailed on the front and back. In addition, this Amish-made bed ships unfinished or in your choice of 14 beautiful stains, 12 matte paint options, and 1 gloss paint options.  You also have your choice of 7 different knob options.  Pair this bed with any of the pieces in the Alder Shaker Bedroom Collection in order to create a cohesive look.  This bed is also available with 6 drawers.

Alder Facts: 

Alder is a relatively soft, medium-density hardwood that is easy to work with and has good finishing properties. A relative of birch, the wood features a fairly straight-grain with a uniform texture. It can be sanded, painted, or stained and dries easily.  When stained, it blends well with walnut or cherry.  It is them most abundant hardwood in the Pacific Northwest.
