This chest is great children as the solid Parawood is very hard and can stand up to years of use and abuse. It features a small cutout in the front so it will not hurt fingers as the top closes. It also has two safety lid supports to slow the top down when closing to avoid slamming. Perfect for the spot by the door or in a mudroom for the kids to put their shoes on. Also it will work well at the foot of a full size bed as a blanket chest.
