About the 65016/6513/6509/6512 Alder Sectional Desk with File Cabinet and Storage Cabinet:

This desk includes the 6516 Alder Wedge Desk, the 6513 Storage Cabinet, the 6509 Return, and the 6512 File Cabinet. The wedge desk features a single, large drawer with a solid wood bottom. The Storage Cabinet includes two doors which open to reveal a spacious storage area.  The two-drawer file cabinet also accommodates either legal size or letter size files. All drawers ride on full-extension rolling glides.  This desk ships unfinished or finished in your choice of 14 beautiful stains, 12 matte paint options, and 1 gloss paint option. It also includes your choice of a variety of knobs.  All of the pieces in this set are available for separate purchase.

Wood Species

Alder Facts: 

Alder is a relatively soft, medium-density hardwood that is easy to work with and has good finishing properties. A relative of birch, the wood features a fairly straight-grain with a uniform texture. It can be sanded, painted, or stained and dries easily.  When stained, it blends well with walnut or cherry.  It is them most abundant hardwood in the Pacific Northwest.
