About the 1610 Alder McKenzie Center Wall Unit:

The spacious shelves of the Alder McKenzie Center Wall Unit allow for creativity and versatility when displaying your favorite pieces.  It features four adjustable shelves, one fixed shelf, a fitted back, and tipping restraint for extra stability and safety. The spacious shelves allow for creativity and versatility where you can display your favorite pieces.  This wall unit is also available with the option of lower doors.

It comes fully assembled and is available unfinished or in the following  finish options:

  •  Stained (Glazed Antique Cherry, Fieldstone, Hazelnut, or Natural Alder)
  •  Select Sherwin Williams® paint (Snowbound or Tricorn Black)
  •  Two-tone finish

All two-tone finishes will feature the paint color of your choosing on the outside and the clear natural Alder finish on the inside and the shelves.

Please note: Only the painted finishes are available for the two-tone option.

Wood Species

Alder is a species native to the Pacific Northwest. It grows in an approximate 125 mile-wide strip along the West Coast that stretches from Alaska to Northern California. The largest concentration of Alder stands just north of Portland, Oregon.

Alder regenerates naturally and prolifically and flourishes in areas where other species might not survive. Its unique nitrogen-fixing properties enrich root systems, add nutrients to the soil and assist neighboring plants to establish and thrive. Also, since Alder develops so quickly, it helps prevent soil erosion and provides protection to more delicate and slow-growing species such as Douglas Fir, Cedar and Hemlock.
