This beautiful Four Drawer McKenzie desk is made out of sustainably-sourced solid Alder hardwoods.

It comes partially assembled and features:

a solid plank top
one legal/letter file,
two utility drawers
a combination keyboard tray and drawer
two pull-out writing surfaces with a touch latch
full extension ball bearing slides
English dovetail drawer construction

The McKenzie desk has a finished panel on the back of the desk so you can place it in the middle of the room if you wish.

The desk is available factory finished only in four gorgeous stains: 2401PEC, Java 2401JAV, Caffe 2401CAF(Limited Quantity) or Glazed Antique Cherry 2401GAC.

Wood Species

Alder is a species native to the Pacific Northwest. It grows in an approximate 125 mile-wide strip along the West Coast that stretches from Alaska to Northern California. The largest concentration of Alder stands just north of Portland, Oregon.

Alder regenerates naturally and prolifically and flourishes in areas where other species might not survive. Its unique nitrogen-fixing properties enrich root systems, add nutrients to the soil and assist neighboring plants to establish and thrive. Also, since Alder develops so quickly, it helps prevent soil erosion and provides protection to more delicate and slow-growing species such as Douglas Fir, Cedar and Hemlock.
