About the 3505 McKenzie Lift Top Coffee Table:
This solid Alder hardwood Lift Top Coffee Table is the perfect addition to any room in your home. This table features a solid Alder wood plank lift top, a hidden tray under the lift top for storage, and drawer storage. The drawers slide open quickly and easily on full extension ball bearing slides, and feature English dovetail drawer construction. In addition, the top lifts in the opposite direction as the drawers to prevent tipping. For ease of mobility, the piece also features wheels. It comes partially assembled and is easy to assemble for your convenience.
This table is available factory finished only in three gorgeous stains: Java, Glazed Antique Cherry, and Pecan.

Wood Species
Alder is a species native to the Pacific Northwest. It grows in an approximate 125 mile-wide strip along the West Coast that stretches from Alaska to Northern California. The largest concentration of Alder stands just north of Portland, Oregon.
Alder regenerates naturally and prolifically and flourishes in areas where other species might not survive. Its unique nitrogen-fixing properties enrich root systems, add nutrients to the soil and assist neighboring plants to establish and thrive. Also, since Alder develops so quickly, it helps prevent soil erosion and provides protection to more delicate and slow-growing species such as Douglas Fir, Cedar and Hemlock.
