Beautiful design and elegant details make for a striking combination in this collection made from solid American Alder and Alder veneered wood panels. Old World craftsmanship features such as English dovetail drawers, mortise and tenon joinery and fitted backs ensure structural strength and stability.  Whisper quiet full extension metal ball bearing drawer slides provide maximum access to spacious drawers.

About the 2082 McKenzie Media Console:

This sound bar media console is made out of the finest solid Alder hardwood.  It features alder veneered sides which help to prevent cracking and splitting.  The top surface has enough room for 50 inch to 60 inch flat panel TVs.  For additional safety, the piece has venting for heat dissipation and a tipping restraint.  This sound bar console is available factory finished only in three gorgeous stains: Java, Glazed Antique Cherry, and Pecan.  This piece looks great with any of the pieces in the McKenzie Collection, but is also versatile enough to use with any home design.

Wood Species

Alder is a species native to the Pacific Northwest. It grows in an approximate 125 mile-wide strip along the West Coast that stretches from Alaska to Northern California. The largest concentration of Alder stands just north of Portland, Oregon.

Alder regenerates naturally and prolifically and flourishes in areas where other species might not survive. Its unique nitrogen-fixing properties enrich root systems, add nutrients to the soil and assist neighboring plants to establish and thrive. Also, since Alder develops so quickly, it helps prevent soil erosion and provides protection to more delicate and slow-growing species such as Douglas Fir, Cedar and Hemlock.
