With just a clear coat, the natural beauty of the Black Walnut accentuates the lighter colored, sustainably-sourced Alder.  Additionally, a fluid, contemporary shape and splayed legs are specific to this collection. About the 2094DUET Console:

The unique Addison Media Console features a solid Alder wood top with a Black Walnut veneer. The remarkable combination of American Alder and Black Walnut hardwoods creates a stunning two tone look.  This unique piece is perfect for a small living room, apartment, or loft.  Two coved faced drawers offer the convenience of concealed storage, while providing a sleek, minimalist look. The drawer capacity is approximately 109 CD’s or 49 DVD’s.  There are two removable backs behind the two sliding doors.  For heat dispersion, the backs and shelves feature ventilation. It’s eye-catching design and functional storage space make this piece a must-have for anyone with the desire for a clean and modern living space.  The Duet console can also be combined with items in the Addison Collection to create an eclectic look.

Alder is a species native to the Pacific Northwest. It grows in an approximate 125 mile-wide strip along the West Coast that stretches from Alaska to Northern California. The largest concentration of Alder stands just north of Portland, Oregon.
