The McKenzie Cal-King Premier Storage Bed offers elegant details that make a striking statement. It allows for optimal use of space and creates height in your bedroom. The beautifully paneled headboard and matching footboard include delicate details and clean lines. The 6 drawers (3 on each side) feature English dovetail construction with full extension metal ball-bearing drawer slides. In addition, these drawers offer excellent concealed storage without compromising style. This storage bed is available in 4 beautiful custom finishes: Glazed Antique Cherry, Java, Fieldstone, and Pecan. It is too large for both UPS and FedEx, and, as a result, is much safer shipping on a pallet via freight carrier.

Wood Species

Alder is a species native to the Pacific Northwest. It grows in an approximate 125 mile-wide strip along the West Coast that stretches from Alaska to Northern California. The largest concentration of Alder stands just north of Portland, Oregon.

Alder regenerates naturally and prolifically and flourishes in areas where other species might not survive. Its unique nitrogen-fixing properties enrich root systems, add nutrients to the soil and assist neighboring plants to establish and thrive. Also, since Alder develops so quickly, it helps prevent soil erosion and provides protection to more delicate and slow-growing species such as Douglas Fir, Cedar and Hemlock.
