About the 3501 McKenzie End Table:

The McKenzie End Table is the perfect addition for your any room in your home.  This end table has a solid Alder plank top and two drawers for concealed storage.  The drawers slide open quickly and easily on full extension ball bearing slides and feature English dovetail construction.  This table ships factory finished only in three gorgeous stains: Java, Glazed Antique Cherry, and Pecan.  The finish provides extra protection and resists most liquids and heat for up to 24 hours.  Combine this beautiful end table with any of the McKenzie occasional tables, media pieces, or bookcases.  It could also be used as a nightstand in a small bedroom. It comes partially assembled and is easy to assemble for your convenience.

Wood Species

Alder is a species native to the Pacific Northwest. It grows in an approximate 125 mile-wide strip along the West Coast that stretches from Alaska to Northern California. The largest concentration of Alder stands just north of Portland, Oregon.

Alder regenerates naturally and prolifically and flourishes in areas where other species might not survive. Its unique nitrogen-fixing properties enrich root systems, add nutrients to the soil and assist neighboring plants to establish and thrive. Also, since Alder develops so quickly, it helps prevent soil erosion and provides protection to more delicate and slow-growing species such as Douglas Fir, Cedar and Hemlock.
