About the 3500 McKenzie Chair Side Table:

The McKenzie Chair Side Table is the perfect addition to your living room space.  This table features a solid Alder plank top and a drawer for concealed storage.  The drawer slides open quickly and easily on full extension ball bearing slides and features English dovetail drawer construction.  This table ships factory finished only in three gorgeous stains: Java, Glazed Antique Cherry, and Pecan.  The finish provides extra protection and resists most liquids and heat for up to 24 hours.  In addition, this piece includes mortise and tenon joinery in order to ensure structural strength and stability. Combine this beautiful accent table with any of the McKenzie occasional tables, media pieces, or bookcases.

Wood Species

Alder is a species native to the Pacific Northwest. It grows in an approximate 125 mile-wide strip along the West Coast that stretches from Alaska to Northern California. The largest concentration of Alder stands just north of Portland, Oregon.

Alder regenerates naturally and prolifically and flourishes in areas where other species might not survive. Its unique nitrogen-fixing properties enrich root systems, add nutrients to the soil and assist neighboring plants to establish and thrive. Also, since Alder develops so quickly, it helps prevent soil erosion and provides protection to more delicate and slow-growing species such as Douglas Fir, Cedar and Hemlock.
